    Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD)

The ACD certificate also known as an CTN, ECTN, BSC, or BESC, is a mandatory loading document that must accompany all shipments that will be unloaded in Sudan regardless of final destination.

A workshop on Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) was launched with wide participation from government entities. Speakers highlighted the ACD system as a pivotal step in digital transformation and the modernization of customs systems, emphasizing the importance of integrated roles among relevant government agencies for effective implementation.

The workshop covered technical and legislative aspects, shared international experiences, and discussed challenges and practical solutions to ensure successful application and achievement of its objectives.

The primary aim is to introduce the ACD system and underscore its role in expediting customs clearance, enhancing import control, reducing cargo release times, supporting the national economy, and improving the commercial environment.

It was noted that over 140 countries worldwide already implement similar programs. Future workshops will be conducted to inform and prepare stakeholders on system operations, with implementation proceeding according to plan while considering all observations.
